DC

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke

So, we kicked off our flip flops, put on city shoes, and drove, and drove, and drove some more...
to stand outside and shake our fists...

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us
in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down
and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon
you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
—Samuel Adams

I like your post today. I share your disdain for congress...and the quotes we so appropriate. Our founding fathers would be shaking their fists today, too.
Thank you.

THANK YOU for standing and waving your arms. I would have LED you there, if possible.
I pray a lot and I send scorching emails to all the offices I can and...I don't know what else to do.' All I can say to the people that voted for Obama, look what a mess we are in NOW!! Never has a president gone SO AGAINST so many citizens wishes.

Good for you!!!!

I am reminded of this Mark Twain quote: "Suppose you were an idiot and suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself".

I have put your blog on my link list and again, thank you!!!

Hi! Thanks for representing all of us in your protest! It seems like it will be stopped at the Supreme Court but we are living in unreal times.

I went to the Supreme Court during Bush v Gore. It was fun to be a part of the action.

We the people need to be heard!

Amen! It's wonderful that your children shared this experience with you. We need to pass on to the next generation that there is a time to protest...peacefully, of course. The words of our founding fathers are so wise...and I doubt that the majority of our representatives in Congress pay heed to this wisdom. I pray that each one of us goes back to read them...to learn from their wisdom.

Beautiful pictures of our nations capital. I wish I could feel the same about what is happening in all of those buildings. We just need to remember it's all in Gods timing. Have a blessed Easter.
